Hi Dan,
Came across this today, and I was inspired to build one. I just noticed Back_Plate.dxf doesn’t have have any of the mounting holes. Do you happen to have an updated file?
Best,
Chris

Chris, it seems the .dxf export wasn’t working correctly so I exported as .dwg. Please see two additional files at:

You shouldn’t need the “bottom plate” if you make the 3d-printed box. And you should be able to make the “back plate” with just a saw and drill – no need for a laser cutter or anything fancy.

Completed my dock, it came out great. Thank you for the time and effort you took to develop this and making the files public. I would post a picture of it, but can’t seem to on this blog.

Chris that’s fantastic!
If you can post URLs to imgur or another pic hosting service I can re-post here or on my new blog: https://dancharblog.wordpress.com/

Been a little busy, here you go. Just got word that someone who saw it on my desk a few weeks ago, just made their own.
Thanks again.
